NPCE Board Member Elections

The Namaqua Parent Committee for education is currently accepting nominations for board member positions, for the 2013-14 school year. The purpose of the NPCE is to promote a positive community spirit, and help provide resources to ensure a quality educational experience for all Namaqua students. If you, or some one you know, are interested in becoming a member of the NPCE board, please contact ahouckes@gmail.com.
Elections will be held at the April NPCE meeting (April 9th at 9am). All parents
and guardians of Namaqua students are welcome to attend any meeting. The
following is a list of positions and brief description:

President — Preside over all meetings, general supervision of all committee
activities and act as liaison with the school principal and teachers.
Vice President — Perform presidents duties in the event the president is
unable.
Secretary — Keep monthly meeting minutes, and post on website.
Treasurer — Handle all Committee authorized collection and disbursements of
money.
Volunteer Coordinators (2 needed) — Recruiting and organizing Volunteers, track
volunteer hours and act as liaison between Namaqua and district vital office.

Career Day Hospitality Luncheon

Dear Namaqua Families,

On Friday, April 12, we will have our annual Career Day for our great students
at Namaqua Elementary School. Each year, we host a hospitality luncheon
for our speakers, teachers and staff (about 125 people). We would greatly
appreciate your help with providing items for the luncheon.

We’ll need:
(10) varieties of salads,
(5) main dishes,
(8) desserts (2-3 dozen each),
(2) fruit trays,
(1) large veggie tray, and
(1) meat and cheese tray for sandwiches.
